The following work projects are scheduled by the city of Lebanon Public Works Department for the week of Dec. 10-14:
Street maintenance crews will be conducting maintenance to regulatory signs in various locations throughout Lebanon.
Street sweeping is planned for Wards 2 and 3 streets. Work in these areas will have only minor impacts on the flow of traffic.
Street construction crews will be working on the removal and reconstruction of the concrete islands at the intersection of Jefferson and Elm. This work will require periodic lane closures at this intersection which will impact traffic flow.
Street construction crews will also be replacing the entrance into Fire Station #2 off South Jefferson.
The construction crew will be working on the new service for Americare at 1550
Lynn Street and setting a new pole on McPhail Street.
The maintenance crew will be working on work orders and street lights. The substation crew will be working on the substations.
The tree crew will be working in the area of Michigan Avenue and Locust Street.
The environmental department will be completing sewer main point repairs around town. Signage will be up in affected areas. They will also be installing water piping to the Glencastle Water Tower, and conducting valve exercising around town, in addition to handling work orders and emergency situations as they arise.
