FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
A new promotional video celebrating City of Lebanon and the surrounding area has been released to the public.
The City of Lebanon is proud to have been part of the team in creating the video celebrating the City, several business partners, education professionals and our great community.
The video is a collaboration between the City of Lebanon, the Lebanon R-3 School District and the Lebanon Regional Economic Development Incorporation, also known as Lebanon REDI. It features images of life in Lebanon and Laclede County highlighting education, industry and recreation. Local band, Dawson Hollow, provided the music, featuring their song "Take Me There."
"This is just one of the tangible results of our area partners working together to celebrate our community," said Mayor Jared Carr.
"We believe this video displays our community pride and brings some of our best-kept secrets into the spotlight."
According to Michael Schumacher, city administrator, the video lines up with Lebanon City Council’s goals of finding ways to "promote the City of Lebanon as a preferred destination for retail and commercial businesses, tourism and regional activities through an aggressive pursuit of partnerships and effective marketing and branding."
"Our community partnerships are vital improving Lebanon and continuing our momentum in "Moving Forward for Success," Schumacher said.
City, school and economic officials hope to use the video as a recruitment tool for industry, tourism, and to show potential residents what our community has to offer.
The video will be officially presented to City Council at their regularly scheduled meeting at 6 p.m. Jan. 28 at Lebanon City Hall.
All partners contributing the project have also been invited to the meeting.
