RELEASE: 21-016 - Irrigation meters available for checkout

Irrigation meters available for checkout

Filling up swimming pools and watering lawns can lead to higher sewer bills during the summer months, but City of Lebanon Utilities offers irrigation meter rentals to help lower those costs.

Utility customers can visit Lebanon City Hall and checkout an irrigation meter through Oct. 31 of each year.

When checking out an irrigation meter, customers will be required to make a $50 refundable deposit. Customers will connect the meters to their water supply and upon completion, return it to city hall. Utility staff will then read the meter and the billing department will apply a sewer credit to the customer's utility bill based upon the water usage reading. Meters must be returned to Lebanon City Hall by Oct. 31.

The City of Lebanon can also provide options for customers needing a permanent irrigation meter.

For more information on this program, contact Lebanon Utilities at 417.532.2345.
