The following work projects are scheduled by the City of Lebanon Public Works Department for the week of Oct. 4-8:
Street maintenance crews will be sealing the asphalt surface and striping the angle parking areas along Commercial Street. There will be areas of parking that will be closed while this work is being performed. Street maintenance crews are also scheduled to be sweeping streets in Wards 3 and 4.
Street construction crews will be working on the Owens Drive street reconstruction project. Owens will be closed to through traffic at the intersection with Elm Street to approximately 500 feet toward Springfield Road. We expect Owens to be ready for asphalting soon. Street construction crews will also be working at the intersection of Beck and Ivey lanes. Traffic control devices will be in place while the work is being performed in these areas.
The construction crew will be installing transformers for a new service near West Commercial Street, a new streetlight conduit along Cowan Drive and new overhead wiring along Hunters Creek Drive.
The maintenance crew will be working on streetlights on Palmer Drive, installing a new service on Fairfield Drive and responding to service orders as needed.
The tree crew will be trimming and removing trees areas around Cowan and Copeland drives and tree trimming contractors Burk and Katska will continue trimming trees in the Deadra Drive area.
The substation crew will be performing inspections on substation feeder controls, capacitor banks and capacitor controls.
