The City of Lebanon Electric is proud to announce the receipt of the prestigious "Certificate of Excellence in Reliability" from the American Public Power Association (APPA). This award recognizes our unwavering commitment to providing exceptional power services to our community, setting new standards for reliability and efficiency in our utility operations.

The announcement was made on April 5th, marking a significant milestone in Lebanon City Electric's journey towards excellence. The APPA evaluated utilities nationwide for their performance in 2022, comparing their outage records against the data gathered by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA). Out of 219 utilities recognized for their outstanding operations, the City of Lebanon Electric stood proudly among the honorees.

"Our team's dedication and hard work in delivering reliable power to the citizens of Lebanon have been recognized on a national level," said Mayor Jared Carr. "This award validates our ongoing efforts to improve power services and enhance the quality of life for our residents."

The City of Lebanon has continuously strived to exceed national reliability standards, even during major weather events. By demonstrating proficiency in reliability, safety, workforce development, and system improvement, we have set ourselves apart as a leading utility provider in the region.

The "Certificate of Excellence in Reliability" highlights Lebanon's utilities' outstanding performance, with outage durations better than most utilities throughout the country. It reflects the City of Lebanon Electric's dedication to sound business practices and our commitment to delivering safe and reliable electricity services to our community.

The official presentation of the award took place on July 19th at the Lebanon Board of Public Works Meeting, where John Twitty, President, and CEO of the Missouri Public Utilities Association (MPUA), personally handed over the award to Travis Long, City of Lebanon Electric Superintendent.

"We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our team, whose relentless efforts have made this recognition possible," said Travis Long, City of Lebanon Electric Superintendent. "This award serves as a testament to the hard work and dedication that each team member puts into powering Lebanon with excellence."

As a community-owned utility, the City of Lebanon remains committed to serving its residents with the highest level of reliability and dedication.
