The City of Lebanon is set to honor exceptional volunteerism this spring through the Mayor Lyle Anderson Gold Leaf Award for Volunteer Service. This esteemed recognition is slated for presentation during the city council meeting on April 22, 2024.
The award distinguishes two outstanding individuals - one youth and one adult - for their voluntary contributions. Eligibility for the award mandates that candidates either reside in Lebanon or have performed their volunteer activities within the city limits.
The youth award targets individuals under the age of 18 at the time of their service, while the adult award is open to those aged 18 and over.
Following the award ceremony, the names of the 2024 winners will be listed on a commemorative plaque displayed within Lebanon City Hall, joining previous honorees in this growing tradition. Additionally, the city's official website features a dedicated page that highlights the annual recipients of this prestigious award.
Initiated in 2019, the award has honored numerous worthy individuals for their exemplary service. Those interested in nominating a deserving volunteer can access nomination forms online at www.lebanonmissouri.org/GoldLeafAward.
Please note that all nominations must be submitted by 5 p.m. on March 29, 2024.
