[ARCHIVED] Want to have a yard sale? Here are the guidelines:

Yard sale season is upon us and we always get asked if you need a permit to have a yard sale. The answer - no, a permit is not required to  have a yard sale in the City of Lebanon. Here are the guidelines for yard sales in the city of Lebanon: 
✅ A permit is not required to have a garage/yard sale.
✅ Garage/Yard sales are limited to 3 times a year.
✅ No person may begin setting up for a garage/yard sale more than 12 hours in advance of the sale.
✅ Garage/Yard sales are allowed for no more than 3 consecutive calendar days (72 hours).
✅ Garage/Yard sales are allowed Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday only, they are not allowed Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.
✅ Garage/Yard sales are only allowed between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:00 pm.
✅ Maximum of 4 signs allowed only when the sale is open. 
✅ Signs placed for garage/yard sales must be picked up daily at close of sale.
✅ Signs may NOT be placed on any City or State-owned structures such as Poles, ✅ Street signs, monuments etc. 
✅ Signs must not obstruct the vision of traffic or cause a nuisance.
✅ Signs may NOT be placed on trees in the right-of-way.
✅ Any person conducting a garage/yard sale must ensure that all unsold items are removed from the site no more than 12 hours following completion of sale.
