[ARCHIVED] Mayor seeks applicants for Ward 1 Council seat

Council vacancy

Mayor Jared Carr is currently looking for applicants to fill a council seat in Ward 1. The seat became available upon Councilman Ken Eldridge’s resignation earlier this month. If you're interested in the position, you can get an application from the City Clerk's office at Lebanon City Hall.

The term for this council seat will last until April 2025. To qualify, you need to meet a few requirements. First, you must have lived in Ward 1 for at least six months. Second, you need to be at least 21 years old. Thirdly, you should have paid your state, municipal, and personal property taxes and have no felony convictions. And finally, you must be a registered voter.

You have until July 10th to submit your application. The mayor will then choose a candidate and present them to the council for approval at the July 24th meeting.

If you need more information or want to request an application, you can contact Assistant City Administrator/City Clerk Laina Starnes at (417) 532-2156 or send an email to lstarnes@lebanonmo.org.
