Powering Lebanon with Reliable Electricity
The City of Lebanon’s Electric Division provides reliable electricity to about 7,500 customers, including homes, businesses, and public facilities. The city purchases power from the Missouri Joint Municipal Electric Utility Commission, which helps communities share resources, lower costs, and improve emergency response.
Our team ensures electricity is delivered safely and efficiently, keeping the power on for residents and businesses throughout Lebanon.
What We Do
The Electric Division builds and maintains the system that delivers electricity, including:
- Power lines, service lines, and substations
- Transformers and other electrical equipment
- Streetlights and traffic signals
Other Responsibilities
In addition to providing electricity, our team also:
- Maintains and repairs streetlights
- Installs and operates traffic signals
- Trims trees near power lines to prevent outages
- Assists other city departments with tasks requiring specialized equipment
The City of Lebanon is a proud member of MPUA, the Missouri Public Utility Alliance, a network of municipal utilities working together to improve service and efficiency.
Report a Power Outage
If you experience a power outage or other utility issue, call our 24/7 emergency hotline: (417) 322-9001. The Lebanon Police Department no longer takes utility calls, so please use the hotline for power-related emergencies.
Our team is committed to keeping Lebanon powered and safe. Thank you for trusting us with your electric service!
