America 250 in Lebanon

In 2026, the United States will celebrate its 250th anniversary—and the City of Lebanon is planning a year to remember.

This once-in-a-generation milestone is an opportunity for our community to come together to honor our nation’s founding, celebrate our shared history, and look ahead to the future we are building together.

Lebanon is proud to join communities across the country in celebrating America 250, with a full year of events, activities, and community-led projects planned throughout 2026.

Signature America 250 Events

April 25, 2026 – Free Community Concert

Lebanon’s America 250 celebration kicks off with a free community concert featuring Diamond Rio on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Kenneth E. Cowan Civic Center.

Formed in 1989, Diamond Rio made country music history in 1991 with “Meet in the Middle,” becoming the first group to reach No. 1 with a debut single. The band has since earned seven No. 1 hits, including “How Your Love Makes Me Feel,” “One More Day,” and “Unbelievable,” and has sold more than 6.8 million albums with over 1 billion global streams.

Diamond Rio is a member of the Grand Ole Opry, a six-time Vocal Group of the Year winner (CMA and ACM), and a Grammy Award–winning band known for playing every note on every album. The group is also recognized for its long-standing charitable work, including support for Big Brothers Big Sisters and other nonprofit organizations.

This family-friendly concert is free and open to the public and marks the official start of Lebanon’s yearlong America 250 celebration.

July 3, 2026 – Downtown Picnic & Celebration

Join us in the heart of downtown Lebanon for a classic community picnic filled with food, family activities, and patriotic spirit as we continue celebrating America 250.

July 4, 2026 – Fireworks at the Airport

Celebrate Independence Day with a spectacular fireworks show at Floyd W. Jones Lebanon Regional Airport, honoring both our nation’s birthday and America’s 250th anniversary.

America 250 is about community—and we invite schools, civic clubs, churches, organizations, and residents to be part of the celebration.
